Pearce Cemetery Association in Pearce was founded in 1892 as a small cemetery to inter the victims of the smallpox pandemic that claimed the lives of 44 residents. The Pearce Cemetery Association gradually grew as the population increased, prompting the purchase of more land in 1918 north of the brown road.
