Coconino County County provides affordable housing for low-income Coconino County County residents, the elderly, or the disabled. The Coconino County Housing Board of Directors is in charge of the Williams Housing Authority. The Purpose of Public Williams Housing Authority

  1. To provide affordable housing to low-income Coconino County County residents.
  2. To encourage and enable Coconino County County people to save. If the individual can save some of the money they earn, it will eventually help them improve their lives and that of their family.
  3. To encourage Coconino County County children to get an education. Coconino County County parents and guardians that earn little money may not have enough for education. However, with affordable housing from the Williams Housing Authority, they will be able to put aside money for their children’s education.

Williams Housing Authority Programs

Williams Housing Authority has three programs available for Coconino County County residents. They include:

1. Public Housing

In this program, the Williams Housing Authority owns and manages the houses, ranging from 1 to 4 bedrooms. They are located in Coconino County, Arizona.

2. Section 8

In the Section 8 program, the individual will look for a house eligible for the initiative. The Williams Housing Authority will then approve and enter into a Housing Assistance Payment contract with the property owner. The Coconino County County resident will have a lease agreement with the owner.

3. Family self-sufficient Program

Through the FSS Program, the Coconino County County Government seeks to encourage low-income Coconino County County residents to work towards financial independence. Coconino County County Government provide resources such as training, jobs, and childcare facilities to help them earn more and be self-sufficient.

To get into this program available at Williams Housing Authority, you have to be:

  • A low-income Coconino County County Government resident who wants to be independent, and
  • Qualified for Public Housing and Section 8
