Thatcher’s library is also the Alumni Library. The Alumni Library started in 1886 with a collection of 476 volumes. Volunteers in the Graham County County community managed the Alumni Library back then.
Alumni Library has been home to many authors, filmmakers, artists, and poets.

The Alumni Library’s Mission
The Alumni Library aims to develop a civilized Graham County County community. This community is centered on saving and sharing knowledge in Graham County County.
The Alumni Library has an interesting fact. Alumni Library arose to provide the people of Graham County county with a more civilized diversion. It happened after someone hung on a post in 1888.
When the Thatcher library was first founded, its employees were Thatcher community volunteers. But in 1894 the first paid librarian started working in Alumni Library.
In 2019, a new reading room opened. Alumni Library features at least four Thatcher artists and handles all its sales every year.
Services Offered
The Alumni Library offers public computing services. Alumni Library has computers containing different programs suited for research. For this, the Alumni Library provides free and fast internet access to everyone in the Graham County County library.
The Alumni Library has also partnered with Thatcher Unified School District. Every Thatcher student has access to Alumni Library resources like links to audiobooks, e-magazines, and e-books.

Alumni Library also has a seed program. Alumni Library preserves seed varieties that are decreasing with the commercial seed farming practices. This service offered at the Alumni Library gives and encourages sharing of seeds in the Thatcher town desert.
