The Arizona State Library’s Mission

When the Phoenix library was first founded, its employees were Phoenix community volunteers. But in 1893 the first paid librarian started working in Arizona State Library.
In 2019, a new reading room opened. Arizona State Library features at least four Phoenix artists and handles all its sales every year.
