Phoenix’s library is also the State Law Library. The State Law Library started in 1886 with a collection of 545 volumes. Volunteers in the Maricopa County County community managed the State Law Library back then.

The State Law Library’s Mission

The State Law Library aims to develop a civilized Maricopa County County community. This community is centered on saving and sharing knowledge in Maricopa County County.

The State Law Library has an interesting fact. State Law Library arose to provide the people of Maricopa County county with a more civilized diversion. It happened after someone hung on a post in 1884.

When the Phoenix library was first founded, its employees were Phoenix community volunteers. But in 1892 the first paid librarian started working in State Law Library.

In 2019, a new reading room opened. State Law Library features at least four Phoenix artists and handles all its sales every year.

Services Offered

The State Law Library offers public computing services. State Law Library has computers containing different programs suited for research. For this, the State Law Library provides free and fast internet access to everyone in the Maricopa County County library.

The State Law Library has also partnered with Phoenix Unified School District. Every Phoenix student has access to State Law Library resources like links to audiobooks, e-magazines, and e-books.

State Law Library also has a seed program. State Law Library preserves seed varieties that are decreasing with the commercial seed farming practices. This service offered at the State Law Library gives and encourages sharing of seeds in the Phoenix town desert.
