The Deer Valley Rock Art Center is where the history of Maricopa County is researched and preserved. The Historical Society of Maricopa County County, established by the Maricopa County county government in 1953, is in charge of the Deer Valley Rock Art Center operations.

Deer Valley Rock Art Center is also open on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm. However, Deer Valley Rock Art Center is closed during public holidays.
