You will need to produce at least one of the following documents for your first visit to Veterans of Foreign Wars:

  • Deployment orders
  • Discharge documents
  • Proof of awards
  • Or any other documents showing military service

If you are unsure if you qualify to visit the Veterans of Foreign Wars, call them for further clarification. If Veterans of Foreign Wars cannot help, they will give you a referral.

You will produce contact and general information about yourself during the initial contact at Veterans of Foreign Wars. A Veterans of Foreign Wars counselor will take you through an evaluation to determine the safety of yourself and those around you. Then you will be given an appointment. Your counselor will schedule subsequent appointments at Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Confidentiality Policy

The Veterans of Foreign Wars upholds a full confidentiality policy. However, in the case of a life and death situation, the Veterans of Foreign Wars may share your details with other authorities.
