The El Pueblo Library’s Mission

When the Tucson library was first founded, its employees were Tucson community volunteers. But in 1892 the first paid librarian started working in El Pueblo Library.

In 2015, a new reading room opened. El Pueblo Library features at least four Tucson artists and handles all its sales every year.
