The Asarco Mineral Discovery Center is where the history of Pima County is researched and preserved. The Historical Society of Pima County County, established by the Pima County county government in 1951, is in charge of the Asarco Mineral Discovery Center operations.

Asarco Mineral Discovery Center operates between Monday and Friday from 10 am to 4 pm. Asarco Mineral Discovery Center is also open on Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm. However, Asarco Mineral Discovery Center is closed during public holidays.
