Bagdad’s library is also the Bagdad Public Library. The Bagdad Public Library started in 1882 with a collection of 374 volumes. Volunteers in the Yavapai County County community managed the Bagdad Public Library back then.

The Bagdad Public Library’s Mission

The Bagdad Public Library has an interesting fact. Bagdad Public Library arose to provide the people of Yavapai County county with a more civilized diversion. It happened after someone hung on a post in 1882.
When the Bagdad library was first founded, its employees were Bagdad community volunteers. But in 1892 the first paid librarian started working in Bagdad Public Library.
In 2020, a new reading room opened. Bagdad Public Library features at least four Bagdad artists and handles all its sales every year.
